You are warmly invited to attend this year’s online AGM and Annual Programme.
The formal business meeting starts at 9.30 am and is in two parts. See the Schedule for the rest of the day’s programme: Presentation, Worship, Guided Discussion on Strategic Priorities and Social Break-Out rooms to connect informally (coffee and lunch breaks).
We are very much looking forward to welcoming WATCH member and former trustee Revd Dr Miranda Threlfall-Holmes who will offer a presentation mid-morning. Our annual get-togethers offer a mixture of encouragement and challenge as we think about what we have done, endured, grieved and, yes, celebrated this past year, and what we are hoping and praying for.
“How can feminists be nourished by the Bible?”
Miranda Threlfall-Holmes is a Church of England priest, writer and historian. The presentation is related to her recent publication How to Eat Bread: 21 Nourishing Ways to Read the Bible (Hodder & Stoughton, June 2021). Miranda is Team Rector of St Luke in the City Team Parish in Liverpool city centre. Her previous experience includes being Interim Principal of Ustinov College, and Chaplain and Solway Fellow of University College, Durham University; being a parish priest in Durham and Newcastle dioceses; being a historian and working in a range of jobs from a sandwich production line to Brand Management with P&G. She has also been a prominent member of the Church of England’s General Synod, where she has been particularly involved in the debates surrounding women bishops.
She has written and published extensively in both the academic and popular media. And blogs about Christianity, history and feminism here.
The meeting is live for login/registration via Zoom Online or telephone call-in
