On Women’s Ordination – talk by Lisa Wright at LSE Library

An event organised by the LSE Library on July 18th at 1pm.

A lunchtime talk by Lisa Wright who was one of the first women to be ordained in March 1994, and one of the first ordained deacons in 1987. Her talk will explore her experiences as a priest and the early history of the Movement for the Ordination of Women, which was founded in 1979 campaigning for women’s ordination until 1994.

There will also be a chance to have a look at some of the archives the LSE Library holds on the Movement of the Ordination of Women.
