Liturgy Writing Day – The Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary

Revd Dr Mary Kells and Revd Sally Wright invite you to explore writing prayers and liturgies in a supportive environment.

Format

This day provides an opportunity to experiment with liturgy writing in a supportive environment.  The theme of the day is ’The Annunciation’ and the day will include worship, addresses, time to write and space for feedback.

Registration 

All are welcome. 

This event is free, but if you can afford it, WATCH would welcome a suggested donation of £10.00 – £15.00.

Bios

Mary joined the WATCH committee in January 2020. She is the Chaplain of King’s College, Cambridge. Her research interests include incorporating feminine and non-hierarchical language into our language for God. Mary is from Northern Ireland and was previously a Social Anthropologist. She also spent some years working in the Voluntary Sector in London, in the fields of mental health and advocacy, and has run her own garden design business. She is married and has a son, who has just turned 19.

Sally joined the WATCH committee in May 2021. She is an Assistant Priest in the Witney Benefice, Oxon. Sally is a trained Spiritual Director and has also completed training in Pre and Peri-Natal therapy. Her passion is for working with women and girls, providing spaces where they can come to be nurtured, encouraged and to explore the language, imagery and liturgy of the Sacred Feminine. Sally is married with two children.
